Bolzano, the reactions. Salvini: “Historic victory”. FdI: “Watershed”. Gasparri: “Unity rewarded”

The national government majority rejoices over the victory of Claudio Corrarati in Bolzano where, for the first time since the post-war period, the capital of South Tyrol has chosen an Italian-speaking, right-wing mayor .
The leader of the League and deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini does not skimp on capital letters: "HISTORIC victory for the center-right in Bolzano! Congratulations to the new mayor Claudio Corrarati. Concrete proposals and common sense: forward with change!".
Maurizio Gasparri also speaks of "Historic victory". "For the first time - continues the president of the Forza Italia senators and national head of Local Authorities of the blue party - with a stable majority the center-right will be able to govern the city. Thanks to the unity of our coalition, to the agreement with the civic movement that was well rooted in the city and also certainly thanks to the contribution of many representatives of category organizations of every ethnic group. Forza Italia has given a decisive political contribution to this success and will do its part".
"The victory in the Municipality of Bolzano marks a watershed: the responsibility of government by the center-right can now also be applied in the provincial capital of the Province of Bolzano, which will align itself with the provincial government and the national government". This was declared by the deputy Alessandro Urzì , regional coordinator of Fratelli D'Italia of Trentino Alto Adige.
